First To Find. Thrice Again.

I was sitting at the library after work and got four emails back to back for new geocaches. I didn't have my gpsr with me, but I went anyway with just my phone. I found this one, and while I was logging it in my phone, someone drove up. We knew right away.. It was scarlet beaver. We said hello and he asked if I'd found the others. I said no, so he said good, he had a chance then. I wished him well and said he could have them, as I had to get home. It was pretty cool.

This one also had a bit of a surprise in it. When you unscrewed the lid, a squeaky snake pops out at you. Gave me a start!

Lazy Sunday.

I woke Briony up to a hot breakfast, complete with Yorkshire Pudding.

We had a relaxed day that involved shopping for boots for my Birthday (I'm planning ahead)

Ice cream for dinner at the new Big Dipper

Then popcorn for dessert. That's a balanced meal, right?

Geocaching In The Wilds Of Wyoming

Briony and I went geocaching today. Our general theme was dead things. Dead foxes, mostly, and something I couldn't tell what it was. Lovely.

We did see something you don't see everyday... A BALD EAGLE! We've only ever seen them at the Zoo, but this was pretty amazing. We circled back and had to follow him to get some photos, but it was pretty darn cool!

Mohawk Pup & Sunset From 8500 Feet.

Today at work Dr Van Pelt gave her puppy a summer haircut. With a little hairspray, she has quite the mohawk going on!

Lace

After work I went up to the summit and watched the sunset from 8500 feet. There was a cool little pet cemetary up there as well, some with fancy (expensive) headstones, some with just a wooden cross. It was very sweet.

American Idol Finale Bonus Cale Night

Cale came over tonight to watch the season finale of American Idol, because we knew we wouldn't be able to get through the week without knowing who won. I came home to find them in the garage because Briony had forgotten her key. At least we have plenty of furniture in there! They had gotten off the bus together, and Cale went home for supplies to get them through until I got home.

JimmyCs Fish And Chips

On the way home from Denver we stopped in Fort Collins and did more shopping at Target (!) and Kohls, and had a traditional British lunch at JimmyCs.

Arriving home, we discovered that our apartment had flooded :(

Road Trippin' With Briony. And DIERKS!

I had tickets to see Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert tonight, and since it was about a mile from Ikea, I took Briony with me for some shopping. This was her first visit, and she is already planning to decorate her entire home from there when she gets her own place.

After Ikea, we went to Target (maybe two or three Targets), but this was the biggest one, a Super Target with an underground parking garage. Crazy!

After shopping, we had dinner and I dropped her at the hotel and went to see Dierks!

The concert was fantastic, and the weather was beautiful.

Ikea, I'm Ready!

Saturday brings our first trip to Ikea in Denver. It will be Briony's first visit to any Ikea, so I am interested to see what she thinks of it. I have my catalog marked for all the things I want to look at... to make sure that I need them.
